For how long did you plan your trip?
I've always had an interest in seeing the world but the idea to backpack Europe came to me in December of 2014. I knew I wanted to travel in the summer, so that gave me around five months to plan it. The first thing I did was set up a savings plan, a budget, and a 'dream list' of all the cities I wanted to go to. After that, it was just a matter of figuring out the details.
When people think of Santorini they think of Oia. The white-washed buildings, the sky-blue roofs, the beautiful ocean view – that’s all Oia. I fell in love with this little northern village when I visited, and when I go back to Santorini this is where I’m headin' for sure! Oia is small and expensive, so I wouldn’t choose to stay here if you’re on a budget, but fear not, the island has a ton of inexpensive public buses running there all day.
